It - 1 word 2 letters. Such a simple word, but "IT" can be a HUGE word as it pertains to defining your life.
Jack Nicklaus, at Arnold Palmer's funeral, quoted Vin Scully from his final call for the Dodgers:
"Don't be sad because IT's over, smile because IT happened."
What is "IT" in your life? Are you allowing God to use you for His glory? Will your "IT" be glorifying to Him? Will God be smiling at your "IT"?
This leads me to the heart. The "IT" in your life is ruling your heart. You have a choice... deny God and take up your own hearts desires or allow God in and let His passions become your passions.
Paul Tripp says it best in His book: Instruments In The Redeemer's Hands.
"Every human being is a worshiper, in active pursuit of the thing that rules his heart. The Worship shapes everything we do and say, who we are, and how we live."
Pursue God and he will give you his passion for furthering His kingdom, loving everyone unconditionally, and showing grace to those who have wronged us.
Paul Tripp gives us a final warning: "The things we set our hearts on never remain under our control. Instead, they capture, control, and enslave us. This is the danger of earth-bound treasure."
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Seek first the kingdom of God and He will show you his plan for the "IT" in your life.
Thanks and God Bless!
